Whole grain muffins with chocolate chips

Both young and old love to eat cakes at home. These temptations are easy to prepare and we offer you to try to make them with wholemeal flour. Chocolate is ideally combined with wholemeal flour. Also, different types of nuts or dried fruits can be used in the recipe.


  • 200 gr wholemeal flour
  • 120 gr butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 gr sugar
  • baking soda or raising agent
  • 50 gr black chocolate 
  • pinch of salt


Grind the wheat in a home stone mill to be fresh, clean and fragrant. Stir the butter with the sugar to obtain a white homogeneous mixture. Add the eggs. Sift flour with salt and soda and add them to the mixture as well as the chocolate chopped with knife. Pour the finished dough into shapes and bake for about 20-30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C.
